SubTrack

A subscription tracker on the App Store and Google Play from one Expo codebase — renewal calendar, multi-currency totals and reminder emails — backed by a Next.js 16 API with JWT auth, Postgres and Resend.

Live on the App Store and Google Play at v1.0.5, with 27 Vitest suites on the API (running on in-memory PGlite) plus Jest units and a Maestro end-to-end suite on the app.

MOBILE APP

Pushlog

Ngonidzashe Mangudya's open-source Flutter push-up trainer for iOS and Android — adjustable training plans, camera-counted reps via ARKit, HealthKit export and friends leaderboards — on a Cloudflare Workers + D1 API with Firebase Auth. I contribute upstream.

Created by Ngonidzashe Mangudya and MIT-licensed; the Flutter client is at 1.1.0 with development, staging and production flavors, and application data lives on Cloudflare D1 behind a Workers API.

Kanso

Ngonidzashe Mangudya's local-first Markdown notes app for macOS, Windows and Linux, written in Rust on GPUI — wiki-links, tasks, on-device dictation, a local REST + MCP API for agents, and end-to-end encrypted sync on Cloudflare. I contributed locked notes with Touch ID, and the notebook icons and colours.

Created by Ngonidzashe Mangudya and AGPL-licensed; v0.8.4 ships signed, self-updating builds for macOS, Windows and Linux from a 317k-line Rust workspace with 2,800+ tests.

VS Code Theme Collections

Two VS Code theme extensions — 25 palettes anchored to Zimbabwean cities and African countries, dark and light, hand-tuned for readability and dual-published to the Marketplace and Open VSX by GitHub Actions.

Twenty-five themes across two MIT-licensed extensions, published to both the Visual Studio Marketplace and Open VSX from a single automated release so VS Code, Cursor and VSCodium users install the same build.

OPEN SOURCE

2026

WA-TUI

A keyboard-driven terminal UI for WhatsApp Web built on Node.js and neo-blessed — QR pairing, fuzzy search, typing indicators, read receipts, media downloads and native notifications, installed via Homebrew, npm or npx.

Distributed three ways — a Homebrew tap, npm and npx — with a Node 18/20 CI matrix that publishes and tags a release on every version bump.

AI APP

2026

Tinnymix

Spotify companion that turns YouTube tracklists and free-text moods into real playlists with AI-picked cover art, plus a Wrapped-style listening dashboard — all client-side.

WEB APP

2026

Site Lock

Manifest V3 browser extension that password-protects distracting sites — five block modes, bcrypt-hashed master password, timed unlocks, and no server anywhere.

Published on the Chrome Web Store at v1.0.0, backed by 44 unit specs and 28 Playwright end-to-end specs, with a companion marketing and privacy site.

MOBILE APP

2026

Poof

A camera-roll cleaner that works like Tinder. Swipe left to delete, right to keep, review what you marked, then clear it all with one delete prompt. No server, no account, no analytics.

Version 1.0.1 ships to the App Store and Google Play from one Expo codebase, with twelve entry points into the deck and a full session costing exactly one OS delete prompt.

OPEN SOURCE

2026

Lockr

A local-first CLI for storing API keys and credentials in a single AES-256-GCM vault, with Argon2id key derivation and OS-keychain caching so the master password is typed once. No accounts, no sync, no servers.

Community & Impact

Nurturing Africa's next generation of builders.

From organizing engineering meetups across Zimbabwe to mentoring developers through Google Africa and WeThinkCode, and speaking at Google DevFest and Build with AI — I believe the greatest multiplier in technology is the community you build around it.
